So, at long last here is the first installment in the story of ‘U’ my recently acquired 14-year-old Lusitano gelding. He had spent most of his life, the last seven or so years at least, travelling and doing shows. New Year, New Horse
Happy New Year and welcome to 2015. With a new year comes a new blog topic. Late in 2014, I was given a lovely horse, “U” and he will be the topic for the most part for the blog for this year. He is what we call in clicker training a cross-over horse, as he was trained with negative reinforcement and is now coming to the world of positive reinforcement, a world without escalating pressure or fear of doing something wrong.
